Ramme wins Innova 2007
Ramme Elektro-Bau GmbH from Osterwieck has won the Innova 2007 for its ring propeller for electric ship propulsion. Yesterday evening at Wernigerode Castle Managing Director André Ramme (3rd from left) received the glass sculpture from the Junior Minister at the Ministry of Economics and Technology, Thomas Pleye (4th from left), followed by Armin Willingmann (Harz University of Applied Science), Thomas Helmuth, Elke Appelt (both from the Volksstimme newspaper) and Josef Dahl (Ostharzer Volksbank /seen from left). This year 17 companies from the former counties of Aschersleben-Staßfurt, Halberstadt, Quedlinburg and Wernigerode competed for the Harz Innovation Prize. The competition organisers, the Harz University of Applied Science, the Ostharzer Volksbank and the Volksstimme, have been awarding a cheque for 10,000 euros for the most innovative proposal from the region each year since 2005.
