Innovative: propeller drives

A new type of propulsion system based on a jet-deflection flap has been developed in close collaboration with our partner. In this development the propeller blades are integrated on the inner surfaces of the permanently excited synchronous motor. This gives rise to a very compact and very easy-to-integrate construction, which is resilient and robust, easy to access and very quiet. In the course of its development an insulation system was developed that meets the seawater conditions. The motor series developed is available in the output range from 5 to 300 kW.

True to our philosophy of developing environmentally friendly and more efficient drive systems, a new series of customer-specific direct drives is currently being created for propeller applications. These motors are distinguished by great performance at low speeds and a geometry, which is optimised for the respective area of application.
