PM Motors for Indias largest optical telescope

Already in 2010 RAMME supplied 3 PM Motors for the construction of Indias largest optical telescope. After several years of development and assessment one more PM Motor has been supplied in August 2019.

Altogether the PM Motors are used as a azimuth propulsion to move the heavy 150 tons telescope. The 13 m high construction is located on a mountaintop in North India, at the souther slope of himalya in 2.500 m.
